IF all browsers handled HTML the same way; IF all users had the same computer configuration; then this site's dependancy on client side scripting would not be such a requirment. However; since not all browsers handle HTML the same; since not all users use the same computer with the same configuration; this site uses Client Side scripting to detect for the various settings and adjust for all.
Some people use Internet Exploder; while others use FireFox; yet others use Opera. And there are many others besides those three; and they all handle code differently. For example; some of the pages on this site have a “Background Sound” playing while the page is displayed. Depending on the browser will depend on the HTML code used to play the sound. So; using a client side scripting language; I use the line of code needed to get the job done.
Not everyone uses the same Screen Resolution on their monitor. Depending on the resolution will depend on what size font to use on each page. For some people; the font size used right now is good enough. For others it's too small. Client Side Scripting is use to adjust for this.
This site is “Built” around frames. Client Side Scripting is used to verify the frame set is held together. If eveyone entered the site through the front door; this would not be a problem. However; not everyone enters the site through the front door; some coming from a search engine; enter the site on a page deep within the site. So, client side scripting corrects for this in order that the frame set is held together.
All Client Side scripting used on this site is used for the operation of the site. Unlike most web sites; this site tries to make adjustments for all users. This site does not assume that eveyone has a low resolution monitor and sets the with of all the information to fit a 800 by 600 screen with a font size of 10pt. Those which a high resolution monitor would view 10pt as too small and a waste of “realestate”. Some may question why the audio is not playing. Some may question why the link does not work. So for the operation of the site; Client Side Scripting is put in to detect and adjust. The result is a more interactive web site with out the use of Browser Plug-Ins.
With that said; it has been detected your browser settings have Client Side Scripting Disabled. This needs to be corrected in order to navigate this site.
